This Office seeks to focus on four interrelated areas.
1 To Inform, 2 Train, 3 Care for and 4 Develop and Connect Individuals, Parishes and Communities around the challenges and ministry opportunities of the HIV/AIDS realities.
We seek to encourage and develop these actions and activities within the context of the vision, which is to explore the challenges and opportunities of the HIV/AIDS realities and its related affects on the individuals, the families and communities.
Our objectives are:
To pass on accurate and relevant information on how HIV/AIDS spreads and how it can be stopped. In this regards we specially include providing sexuality education to young people
To care for persons and their families who are infected and affected with the virus and related illnesses, especially for vulnerable and orphan children. The manner through which we seek to exercise this caring ministry is through a holistic and accessible way
To provide training programs, which equip persons and churches and communities within our diocese to face and work through the challenges and opportunities of Hiv/Aids realities on a daily basis
We connect persons, churches and communities in order to share our resources, skills and capabilities in fighting the realities of HIV/Aids and its related illnesses
To initiate, grow and implement networking relationships which focus on the (a) educational (b) counseling, Caring and Voluntary Testing (c) Supporting (d) economic development aspects of the HIV/Aids realities
To promote and engage in Public Advocacy on HIV/Aids issues
